Tzatziki Sauce Recipe

This healthy Greek yogurt sauce is made with fresh ingredients in just a few minutes

Ingredients
  

  • ½ medium English cucumber
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, any fat percentage
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, pressed and minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Grate the English cucumber using the small holes of a box grater.
  • Use a cheesecloth, paper towels, or your hands to wring out all of the water from the grated cucumber.
  • Use the side of a knife to press down the garlic and then mince it.
  • Combine the grated cucumber, minced garlic, plain Greek yogurt, freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh chopped dill, olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Optional: To let the flavors marinate refrigerate the sauce for 1-24 hours. The sauce tastes even better the next day!
